Our maths curriculum is guided by the Maths — No Problem! scheme, a high-quality mastery approach that sets ambitious goals for all learners. This programme provides a well-structured sequence of lessons, allowing students to build on prior knowledge and develop new skills progressively. Our skilled teaching staff are adept at adapting lessons to reinforce learning and deepen students' conceptual understanding. The scheme fully aligns with all statutory requirements of the National Curriculum. Every Wednesday morning, pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 engage in an additional 30-minute session focused on mental maths strategies. Additionally, daily micro-teaching of times tables takes place in every class. To support home learning, we use Times Tables Rock Stars, a highly effective programme that encourages the development of times table fluency outside the classroom.
