Lighthouse

Lighthouse is a Christian community in Worsley Mesnes, Wigan. They usually gather a few times a week to eat together, pray together, and get fed together. 

Lighthouse is part of Church Wigan, which is the Church of England in Wigan and is in the Diocese of Liverpool.

Lighthouse is part of Saint James’ family. The staff, children and wider community of Worsley Mesnes pray, play, talk, work and love together.

Lighthouse worship

Our wonderful Lighthouse Church group are welcomed into school throughout the year to plan and deliver whole school worship including the Year 6 Leaver’s worship. The group has grown substantially over the term and is a living example of how we can ‘belong’ together with Christ at the heart. Our worship plan is shared with Lighthouse in order to encourage a consistent approach and the staff and children respond very well to them.

(1 Corinthians 12:12–20- For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body and all were made to drink of one Spirit)
