The Governing Body

The Governing Body is responsible for the efficient running of the school. The governors are parents, carers, teachers and non-teaching staff of the school, local authority representatives and people from the local community. Governors hold office for a term of four years. The Governors have certain legal duties, powers and responsibilities:-

  • raising standards of academic achievement

  • recruitment of staff

  • representing the views of the local community

  • managing schools budgets

  • promoting the values and ethos of the school
