At St James' we have a large Inclusion team to support the range of needs at our school. We believe that every child is entitled to an ambitious, inclusive education that recognises their individual strengths and meets their needs. Inclusion underpins all aspects of our practice and is embedded throughout our BELONG curriculum. Through high-quality, adaptive teaching, we identify and remove barriers to learning so that every pupil can access the curriculum, participate fully and make strong progress from their starting points.

Our vision for SEND is firmly person-centred. We place the voice of the child and their family at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership to understand individual needs, build on strengths and provide the right support to enable every child to belong, achieve and thrive.
